Professional Tailoring Services
Pacific Tailor Shop is located in La Jolla, San Diego, CA. We provide professional alterations for men’s and women’s clothing, everything from suits and shirts to wedding gowns and skirts. We also do custom work.
Melody Nguyen has worked as a professional tailor most of her life. She worked with her father, who was a master tailor in Vietnam, since she was a young girl. When she moved to San Diego, she worked 20 years alongside Tony Felice, the Italian Master tailor in La Jolla. She opened her own shop in Pacific Beach 18 years ago. She specializes in wedding gowns, tuxedos and suits.

Melody always helps me out with my clothes. I’ve brought in dress shirts, pants, a jacket and even a sewing need for my car. Melody always lets me know when my clothing will be ready and lets me try it on in the shop to make sure it fits right.

Awesome tailor!!! Been going to her for years to alter everything from jeans, board shorts and button ups. Im particular with how my clothes fit and she always does a great job. Tons of experience, friendly and prices and turn-around times are fair.

This is the best tailor I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. It’s a small one-person business and the seamstress working there is personable and honest about repairs. I’ve had difficult patch jobs on pants here that are just unreal quality! My partner and I have also had adjustments on many types of clothing from pants to dresses and have always been completely satisfied.
Prices are very reasonable as well. You can’t go wrong with pacific!

The seamstress is so nice, quick service, and a great location. I showed up to get a bridesmaids dress altered with no appointment. I was helped right away & the turn around time is quicker than I’d imagined. Prices are fair. The shop is located upstairs, above the pho restaurant. There is a small hallway to get to the entrance. Her store is clean & colorful!

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Great and timely service! I took a suit to be fixed, about a week and a half before my wedding. Not only did owner pull it off, but she was extremely nice, although the turnaround was short. I highly recommend this place.
